Hi, I’m Malaika!

Hi, I’m Malaika. I’m a wedding photographer, storyteller, and professional multitasker fueled by caffeine and late night edits. I started Rubaiyaat because I wanted vendors like us to have marketing that actually feels like us  but not have to worry about juggling that task with everything else we need to do.

When I’m not shooting a wedding, I’m usually deep in a Notion board or planning a styled shoot just for fun. I love finding that sweet spot where art meets purpose and helping creatives show up online in a way that actually feels human.

I’ve been behind the camera, behind the brand, and behind the scenes of more weddings than I can count. I know what it’s like to juggle clients, content, and creativity. Rubaiyaat was born from that same chaos — a way to make things easier and more beautiful for other vendors who get it.

I’m the person who will hype up your work, tweak your caption, and help you figure out why your feed doesn’t feel right. Rubaiyaat started as a way to help my friends tell their stories better, and it’s grown into a space for vendors who want their brand to look as good as their work feels.

What Does Rubaiyaat Mean?

( 01 )

A Collection of Verses

Ruba’iyaat means “a collection of verses” which comes from the word ruba’i - a form of four-line poetry deeply tied to Persian and South Asian literary tradition.

It reflects the idea that every brand, like every poem, is made up of smaller moments that come together to tell a larger story.

Why it Matters

When I started this company, I wanted it to feel like more than a brand. I wanted it to feel like heritage — something that carried the rhythm, warmth, and emotion. Rubaiyaat represents the way stories live in our culture: spoken, shared, and felt. Every verse, every image, every project becomes part of that ongoing poem and a reflection of who we are and what we create together.

The Meaning

In Pashto and Urdu traditions, poetry has always been a way of preserving identity and of turning everyday emotion into art. Rubaiyaat is my way of doing that through storytelling and strategy. It’s where my Pukhtun roots meet modern creativity, blending heritage and heart into everything we do.

The numbers don’t lie

The art speaks, but the numbers sing. Our projects have collectively sparked millions of views, clicks, and connections. It’s proof that creativity backed by strategy always gets noticed.

Not every brand is built the same , and that’s exactly the point. At Rubaiyaat, we want our partnerships to feel natural, collaborative, and built on trust. Here’s what to know before we create something beautiful together.
